The Roche Cobas Integra 400 Chemistry Analyzer has the capacity to analyze about 400 tests per hour. It features automatic sample dilution and concentration, robotic handling of reaction cuvettes and barcode reading. It can handle 90 primary or secondary tubes on-board, has on board capacity to perform 36 tests including absorbance photometry: enzymes and substrates, turbidimetry: specific proteins, drugs of abuse and fluorescence polarimetry: therapeutic drugs and thyroid tests. The Integra 400 has sample capabilities of serum, plasma, urine, CSF, hemolysate and whole blood, as well as a reagent capacity of 32 cassettes with 50-800 tests per cassette. In addition, the Integra 400 boasts an HP workstation control unit running Windows XP with intel pentium IV with 512 MB RAM, dual 40 GB hard drives, CD ROM, floppy drive and inbuilt modem.
