Hospitals: Donate your surplus medical equipment and supplies to Haiti. MED has been in contact with a couple of Haiti hospitals (groups here in the United States) that are currently looking for supplies and equipment to be sent to containers in Miami.

Currently, as of January 14 at 5PM there is no way of shipping medical equipment to Haiti. We are asking for your help now to prepare the surplus medical equipment for shipment (delivery currently accepted at multiple facilities within the United States) to Miami, where containers wil ship with needed equipment once it is possible to transport the containers to Haiti.

The used, capital medical equipment that we believe will make a positive impact are the following:

• Gurney's and Stretchers
• Survical Collars
• Orthopedic Tables
  
• Ventilators
• Anesthesia and Vital Signs Monitors
• Defibrillators
• Anesthesia Machines
• Sterilizers
• Surgical equipment
• Radioliogy equipment such as c-arms and portable x-ray equipment
• and I am sure, much more

Garret Purrington of Medical Equipment Dynamics, Inc will maintain contact with Haitian hospital contacts (currently within the United States) to keep a list of what is really needed, and what is being donated for the containers.
